Steps to Life-Changing Deliveries
We have multiple steps to our drone delivery.
1. Our outreach lead coordinates with a village leader and finds people to deliver to. On the day of delivery, they ensure everything goes to plan.
2. We acquire the desired materials and load the onto the drones, then drive near or around the circumference of the town (0.5 to 1.5 km away).
3. We then deliver the goods by landing the drones and having the leader remove and distribute them .
4. The drone flies back to us, ready to go on more missions and help as many people as possible.
Dealing with Setbacks
We dealt with many setbacks, especially getting the drone to handle a payload (225 grams), but we always pushed through and managed to make it work.
Innovating Aid Delivery with Cutting-Edge Drones
Our technology is built on a modified agricultural drone platform. We improved its design and replaced several materials and wiring components, cutting overall costs by nearly 80%.
